Cordless hand piece

I have one of these I bought through an Australian website. The convenance factor of being able to use my Makita batteries is great. The handpiece works great with new shearing gear but once worn you cannot adjust the cutter down (tightening) hard enough to stop wool getting under the comb. A very frustrating design flaw. In normal shearing handpieces you just screw adjuster down to keep pressure between the cutting edges, mine won't do that. Great idea, but limited. I am a hill country sheep farmer in NZ.

Very happy with the cordless sheep shear set.
HOWEVER, the upper plastic case of the shearing set has been damaged during shipping, as the stock item cardboard box was only wrapped in Black plastic, and cello-taped where joins occurred, very inadequate packaging for the distance the item had to be shipped and all the handling between the various couriers during the overall journey to the delivery destination, given the weight factor of the item being shipped.
So have given the 4 stars for the cordless sheep shear set, and the delivery time frame, as both meet my expectations, the packaging misstep leaves me with the upper section of the plastic case being dented and cracked, which has weakened the case for carrying the shearing set to and fro for use.

The plastic case lid damage would not have occurred if the outer cardboard stock box had been wrapped in bubble wrap, and then wrapped in the Black plastic, as that would have ensured the shipping process overall could not lead to damage the plastic sheep shearing set case.

The batteries are a tight fit. Cutter alignment.

The batteries are a tight fit, you need to wriggle them in.
But most importantly the top cutter was incorrectly installed. the rear of it was perched up in a plastic piece so the cutting section was fouling with the bottom blade. The instructions don’t show correct alignment.
